New carriers

Every new trucking company, newest first.

A trucking company in its first weeks is choosing its insurer, fuel card, factoring company, equipment and freight. FleetSniper lists every motor carrier whose first operating authority was granted in the last 30 days, in all 50 states, updated every night, with the contact details and insurance filings it has on record with FMCSA. $149 a month, one seat, every state.

Reviewed 25 October 2026.

What counts as a new carrier

In FleetSniper, a new carrier is a motor carrier whose first authority grant falls in the last 30 days. The grant is when a company can start hauling for hire, and it is when sellers want to reach it. A registration with no grant date does not show up as new.

The window rolls. A saved search with New Carriers Only turned on keeps showing the last 30 days, so the list you open in the morning already includes the grants from the latest nightly refresh, and carriers older than 30 days drop off on their own.

What you see on each new carrier

  • Legal name, DBA, USDOT and MC number, and the date authority was granted.
  • Phone, email and company representatives as filed with FMCSA.
  • City, state and fleet size: power units and drivers as reported.
  • The insurer and policy start date, where an insurance filing is on record.
  • The newest model year among its trucks, read from VINs seen at roadside inspections, once its trucks have been inspected.

How to work new carriers in FleetSniper

  • Pick a state, and a city if you work one market, then turn on New Carriers Only. Results sort by authority granted, newest first.
  • Narrow by fleet size or insurer on file to match what you sell.
  • Save the search as a list, then set a status and keep private notes on each carrier as you call.
  • Open the list tomorrow: the newest grants are in it, and nothing needs rebuilding.

Who sells to new carriers

Insurance agents, fuel card sellers, factoring companies, equipment dealers, ELD and compliance providers and freight brokers all look for the same thing: a trucking company in its first weeks, deciding who it will work with. One seat covers every state, so a territory that crosses state lines costs the same $149.
